After a few days of touring, we're ready for a break. After packing and checking out, we got an Uber to head to downtown Joburg and the Maboneng project. This is a revitalization project downtown, that includes a weekly market on Sunday. An abandoned factory and courtyard have been transformed to a Brooklynesq craft and food market. It was really good, even if it felt a bit like home! I had a local IPA from The Smack.

After several hours of exploring and eating and shopping, we headed back to the hotel (Uber again) to get our luggage, and then on to Pretoria.
